Davis, Calif. — UC Davis junior Bella Mayo has been named Big West Defensive Player of the Week as announced today by the conference (Oct. 23). Mayo led the Aggies to a pair of shutouts, downing top-placed Cal Poly 1-0 on Thursday, and UC Santa Barbara 1-0 on Sunday while holding both teams to single-digit shot-on goal totals. Mayo was on the pitch for the entirety of both contests, logging 180 minutes as she commanded the backline for UC Davis.
