Cabieces earns Player of the Week honors

Francis Marion University junior forward Edorta Cabieces has been named the Conference Carolinas Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 16-22. A native of Bilbao, Spain, Cabieces recorded two goals and one assist on four shots in the Patriots’ two matches last week, despite coming off the bench in both contests. He scored twice in a 3-0 blanking of Barton College on Tuesday (Oct. 17) and then contributed an assist in a 2-2 road tie at Young Harris College on Saturday.
