Crimson soccer wins final thriller against Rebels
The Champlin Park boys soccer team ended its 2023 season last week, losing 2-1 to Maple Grove in the Section 5AAA final. The game sent the Crimson to the state tournament following a rematch of the 2022 final, which Maple Grove also won. The Oct. 17 game took time to heat up, with both teams playing at a high level and looking for the other’s weaknesses and gaps. The opening goal finally came in the 38th minute through Lester Arthur.
