Rebels football handed difficult loss by Lakeville South

The Champlin Park football team ended its regular season Oct. 19 with a 48-19 loss to Lakeville South at home last week. The game ensured a 3-5 record for the Rebels as they entered the playoffs. Lakeville South received the opening kickoff with promise, taking the ball to its own 47-yard line to start the action. Champlin Park held the Cougars to two-consecutive third downs, but could not prevent an eventual rushing touchdown from the visitors after five minutes.
