Firebirds Earn Second Place in CCIW Pre-Championship Poll

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Carthage men’s cross country team has been selected to finish second in the 2023 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Cross Country Pre-Championship poll, the CCIW announced on Wednesday. The Firebirds earned 57 points and one first-place vote in the poll, coming in behind North Central (Ill.) with 64 points and eight first-place votes. Augustana (Ill.), Millikin, and Wheaton (Ill.) rounded out the top five teams.
