Women’s soccer’s Nicholson, Whitehead earn ASUN postseason plaudits
ATLANTA — Bellarmine University junior midfielder Emma Nicholson and freshman midfielder Sydni Whitehead were honored with Atlantic Sun Conference postseason awards, the league announced Wednesday. Nicholson was named second-team All-ASUN while Whitehead was recognized on the ASUN All-Freshman Team. Nicholson becomes the third Knight in program history to earn All-ASUN accolades after midfielder Natalie Teo (spring 2021) and goalkeeper Elyssa Francis (spring 2021, 2022). Whitehead is the second Knight to garner ASUN All-Freshman plaudits after fellow holding midfielder Alexa Orozco last season.
