Yanes named LSC Women’s Academic Runner of the Year

RICHARDSON, Texas – Sophomore Ivanova Yanes of the Texas A&M-Kingsville women’s cross-country team was named 2023 Lone Star Conference Women’s Academic Runner of the Year on Wednesday. The kinesiology major from Hollywood, Florida had an outstanding year for the Javelinas all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. Yanes’ highlights this season include two first-place finishes at the Lumberjack Invitational and the OLLU Saints Collegiate Invite, as well as a third-place finish at the UIW Invitational.
