Blue Devils rally past Bears, 3-1

POTSDAM, N.Y.—SUNY Fredonia (4-18, 2-6 SUNYAC) trailed early before rallying to defeat the SUNY Potsdam women’s volleyball team (6-17, 0-8) 3-1 on Friday evening in Maxcy Field House. Sophomore setter Sophia Layer (Potsdam, N.Y./Potsdam) paced Potsdam with 30 assists, four aces and 10 digs. The Bears took set one 25-19, but the Blue Devils rallied for 25-20, 26-24 and 25-15 wins. Junior opposite Alyssa Adams (Jamestown, N.Y./Randolph) had 12 kills, three blocks and an ace. Junior outside hitter Megan Henry (Candor, N.Y./Candor) registered 11 kills and two blocks.
