Martinsville cross country to be represented at state meet

The Martinsville girls qualified for the state cross country meet for the first time in school history. The team consisting of Serena Ward, Andraissah Bice, Liz Gomez, Hannah Miller, Bella Miller and Emberlyn Locke achieved this goal which was made at the start of the season. Kuno Romero also qualified, representing Martinsville to the boys side for the State Meet. Romero finished 13th and ran a time of 19:07 to qualify. A sophomore runner, Romero is also expected to be a key contributor for the Pirates Basketball team this year.
