Dykstra’s two goals lead Panthers to GLIAC Tournament quarterfinals victory

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Davenport University men’s soccer posted a clean sheet in one of their strongest performances of the season in the GLIAC Tournament quarterfinals, knocking out Northern Michigan University in a 3-0 result. The Panthers controlled the pace from start to finish, opening up the boxscore from a goal by Andrew Dykstra (15′) assisted by Vitalis Takawira Jr. for Dykstra’s team-leading seventh goal this year. What appeared to be another strike by DU, this time from Kirby Eggers later in the first half, was waived off by the officials and kept the score at 1-0 heading into halftime.…
