Henry’s Second-Half Goal Leads Women’s Soccer Past Southern Wesleyan
CENTRAL, S.C. – After an even first half of action, sophomore forward Darrianne Henry lifted the Converse women’s soccer team (5-7-4, 3-6-3 Conference Carolinas) over the Southern Wesleyan Warriors (2-12-2, 1-10-1 Conference Carolinas) with her 59th minute goal. The Valkyries dominated possession, taking 21 shots while allowing the Warriors to take only four. Only two of Southern Wesleyan’s shots were on goal. Sophomore midfielder Jasmine Hernandez kicked off the scoring in the 20th minute with a goal but 18 minutes later the Warriors evened the game with a goal of their own.
