Hornets advance in 2A Playoffs

NASHVILLE — J.T. Malawy threw for 232 yards and five touchdowns as the Nashville Hornets rolled past Pana 49-7 Saturday in an opening-round game of the IHSA Class 2A football playoffs. Samuel Kollbaum caught three TD passes and Isaac Blazier two as the Hornets defeated the Panthers in their third postseason meeting in the past five seasons. Nashville had won quarterfinal matchups in both 2019 and 2021.
