Kats earn 5th seed in CUSA tournament

HUNTSVILLE — Needing a win to have a shot at making the Conference USA Tournament, UTEP gave Sam Houston its best shot Saturday at Pritchett Field. The Bearkats didn’t falter and knocked the Miners out of postseason contention with a 0-0 draw to close out the regular season. Sam Houston (5-6-4 overall, 3-3-2 CUSA) has earned the No. 5 seed in the league’s postseason tournament which begins Wednesday in Ruston, Louisiana.
