Kingsmen End Regular Season with Redlands; Advance to SCIAC Tournament
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — JP Melgoza scored the Kingsmen’s lone goal as Cal Lutheran men’s soccer fell to Redlands 3-1 on Saturday afternoon. Cal Lutheran struck first, as Melgoza finished a free-kick header with the assist coming from Samir Lumba in the 12th minute. The Kingsmen played strongly for the remaining 34 minutes to finish the half up 1-0. Redlands answered quickly when play started up after the break, drawing a foul in the box to earn themselves a penalty kick in the 47th minute to tie the game.
