Linfield scores in first half, falls at Whitworth 4-1

SPOKANE, Wash. – Linfield couldn’t match Whitworth’s offensive output on Saturday afternoon in Spokane Wash. The Pirates scored three times in the first 30 minutes and surged to a 4-1 victory over the Wildcats. The Wildcats (4-10-3, 3-7-2) finished with 11 shots, five on goal, one corner kick and six fouls. Ross Vargo’s score was the first of his career and the Wildcats’ only goal. Colby Reese finished with three saves on 13 shots faced.
