Men’s cross country takes second at the CCIW Championships for the program’s highest finish since 2019
Warrenville, Ill. – The Wheaton cross country teams competed at the 2023 CCIW Cross Country Championships on Saturday afternoon at St. James Farm Forest Preserve. The Wheaton men’s program finished second in the eight-team field. Wheaton’s effort today is the highest for the Thunder as a team at the conference championship since a second-place finish in 2019. North Central won the CCIW Men’s Cross Country Championship this afternoon with 16 points. Wheaton placed six runners in the top-30 to use depth in scoring 91 points in second place.
