Women’s Soccer: Scots Draw at Augsburg, Finish Third in MIAC Standings

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Macalester women’s soccer team played its final game of the regular season this evening against Augsburg. After going down in the first half, the Scots came back in the second to earn a 1-1 tie. Macalester finishes the regular season 9-6-2 (6-3-2 MIAC). With the draw, Macalester ties for third in MIAC standings, and takes the No. 3 seed in the playoffs. Junior midfielder Ella Short (Dever, Colo./Denver East) and sophomore defender Becky Mulcahy (Baltimore, Md./Roland Park Country School) got off two quick shots for the Scots, but were denied by the Auggies’ goalkeeper Iz Shuster.…
