Mathews cards final-round 67 to cap Hokies’ fantastic fall

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Emily Mathews carded a season-best, 5-under 67 in the final round of the Landfall Tradition to tie for 13th and pace Virginia Tech to an eighth-place showing Sunday at Country Club of Landfall. Behind 11 birdies, including six in the final round, Mathews surged up the leaderboard to post her third top 20 in four outings.
