The rain affected both teams’ passing games, but Murphysboro’s running game shined. Sam Herring, Tyjaire Kellum, and Josh Cano were instrumental in the team’s success, with Herring scoring three rushing touchdowns. The win was crucial for the Red Devils as they head into the playoffs, aiming to prove themselves after their only loss of the season. Despite the defeat, Taylorville’s senior running back, Clark Rahar, displayed an impressive performance with 130 total yards and a touchdown.
