Gile Tabbed Rookie of the Week In LEC Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Vermont State University Castleton field hockey’s Madison Gile earned Little East Conference weekly honors on Monday. Gile was named Rookie of the Week after notching two goals against LEC opponent UMass Dartmouth. The Bristol, Vt. native helped limit the Corsairs offense to only 1 shot and a shutout in the Spartans 5-0 victory. Gile also provided multiple interceptions and clears against Plymouth’s high powered offense, which sent the game to overtime. This is Gile’s second career LEC honor.
