BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — Last week, the Notre Dame College men’s soccer team defeated West Virginia Wesleyan, 2-1, and ended the week with a 1-1 tie against Concord. Freshman Lucas Oliveira made the first two starts of his collegiate career last week and was awarded with the Mountain East Conference Defensive Player of the Week award. Prior to Oct. 25, Oliveira had played 122 minutes over six games. He played all 180 minutes on the defensive side, last week, and the Falcons’ defense only allowed two goals.
