By: James Garcia, Sports Information Director BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – West Virginia State women’s soccer’s Maxima Bellscheidt earned Mountain East Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors, presented by The Health Plan, for her performances against West Virginia Wesleyan and Davis & Elkins. She scored a goal and registered an assist from her centre-back position last week. Bellscheidt assisted on the game-winning goal against West Virginia Wesleyan last Wednesday.
