Women’s Soccer: Macalester’s Season Ends in Battle with Augsburg

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester women’s soccer team saw its season come to a close this evening, in the quarterfinals of the MIAC Playoffs. The Scots dropped the game 3-1 to Augsburg. Macalester finishes the season with a record of 9-7-2 (6-3-2 MIAC). The Auggies went ahead early, with a goal in the 10th minute by Jayla Ponce. Just four minutes later, Ponce doubled Augsburg’s lead off a penalty kick.
