Area softball players announced for 2023 SWC team

LEXINGTON — The Southwest Conference released the All-Conference Softball team earlier this week. There are eight schools that compete in this conference and they include Ainsworth, Broken Bow, Cozad, Gothenburg, McCook, Minden, Ogallala and Valentine. Cozad had four lady Makers selected on the All-Conference team. Senior Taylor Howell was selected as a pitcher. Howell also played first base. Senior Blair Brennan was selected as an outfielder. Brennan played center field this season. Junior Madison Sayer was selected as designated/utility players. During the season, Sayer played third base and pitched a couple games. Sophomore Greeley Cargill was selected as an infielder.…
