Crusaders Close Season In Conference Tournament

NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Belmont Abbey field hockey team saw the 2023 season come to an end in the quarterfinals of the South Atlantic Conference Tournament Tuesday at Setzler Field. The No. 5 seed Crusaders were locked in a close battle with No. 4 seed Lander but it was the Bearcats who came away with the 1-0 victory. It was the second straight year that Belmont Abbey and Lander had faced each other in the opening round of the conference tournament. Belmont Abbey closes the season with a 7-10 overall record.
