Defense Shuts Down Roanoke in Field Hockey Quarterfinals
LEXINGTON, Va. – The third-seeded Washington and Lee University field hockey team advanced to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference semifinal round with a 3-0 win over sixth-seeded Roanoke College. The Blue and White (11-6) defense held the Maroons (6-10) to just two shots all night and kept the ball in W&L’s attacking end for nearly the entire contest.
