Niles West girls’ tennis team qualifies for state for the second consecutive year. Seniors Katarina Pljevaljcic and Nikoleta Manojlovic competed on October 20. They won one match but lost in the next round. Although their last match was delayed due to rain, the girls couldn’t secure a win against Libertyville High School. Their ultimate goal was to qualify for state and win a match, so they are satisfied with their accomplishment. Pljevaljcic and Manojlovic were competitive and motivated throughout the season, serving as an example for their teammates. They formed a strong bond with their teammates and coaches, creating lasting memories. Pljevaljcic plans to continue her tennis career in college while studying nursing. Overall, the Niles West girls’ tennis team had a successful season. Congrats to Pljevaljcic and Manojlovic!
