Hickory football, soccer earn playoff home field advantage

The Hickory Red Tornadoes football and soccer teams have earned homefield advantage throughout the west regionals portion of the 3A state playoffs. The Red Tornadoes football team (10-0, 7-0) earned a second seed and will host the 31 seed, Huss (4-6, 3-4) in the opening round at Frank Barger Stadium on Friday.
