Three Tigers Receive SWAC Player of the Week Honors

JACKSON, Miss.| After an outstanding performance from the JSU volleyball team last week and over the weekend, three Tigers were named SWAC Player of the Week. Alexis Williams was named SWAC Offensive Player of the Week while Jordan Jones and Hope Briggs were awarded SWAC Defensive and Newcomer Players of the Week. Jackson State went 3-0 over the weekend while hosting the SWAC West Cluster II. The Tigers also defeated Mississippi Valley State Wednesday and Prairie View A&M, Texas Southern and Southern University at the cluster.
