Bobcats Silence Monks, 3-0, in Final Tune-Up Before NESCAC Volleyball Championship

STANDISH, Maine — Bates College closed out the regular-season portion of its schedule Wednesday evening as the Bobcats, behind 12 kills from Sophia Castiglioni and a Chrissy Chu double-double, defeated Saint Joseph’s College, 3-0, in a final tune-up before Friday’s NESCAC Women’s Volleyball Championship. With the cancelation of the Bobcats’ road matches at Amherst (Friday) and Williams (Saturday) last week, the conference regular season was not completed in full, resulting in the NESCAC Volleyball Tournament being adjusted to an 11-team format.
