CLT Battles Top-Seeded Memphis in AAC Semifinals

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte 49ers women’s soccer team will play for a spot in the American Athletic Conference Championship match with a semifinal contest against nationally-ranked No. 8 Memphis on Thursday afternoon (Nov. 2). Charlotte (9-6-4, 4-3-2 AAC) entered the tournament as the No. 5 seed while Memphis (16-1-0, 9-0-0 AAC) took home the top seed and regular-season title. Kickoff of the first semifinal match of the day is slated for 4 p.m. The entire American Athletic Conference Championships will take place at the Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, and every match is free to the public.…
