Freshman Ellie Gustafson’s impressive performance couldn’t save the St. Thomas volleyball team from a 3-0 loss to South Dakota. Gustafson recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 11 kills and 12 digs. Senior Ellie Dammann and freshman Emily Clausen led the team defensively with three total blocks each, while freshman setter Morgan Kealy contributed 13 assists. Despite a strong effort, St. Thomas couldn’t secure crucial points in the first and third sets. The team’s next match will be their final home game of the season against the Omaha Mavericks, and it will also be a Senior Day/Parents Day celebration.
