Stromsten Solves Stony Brook, Sends Elon Into CAA Semifinals

West Long Branch, N.J. – Victor Stromsten scored in the 53rd minute and the Elon men’s soccer team defeated Stony Brook 1-0 Thursday evening in the CAA Tournament quarterfinals. Sixth-seeded Elon defeated the No. 3 seed and will move on to face No. 2 seed Monmouth Sunday. After a scoreless first half, Elon took the lead as Stromsten scored on a beautiful crossing pass from Scott Vatne. Majaliwa Msabaha added an assist as well.
