Wilson picks up defensive player of the year as 2 Tigers are named All-SAA honors

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee junior Mimi Wilson was named defensive player of the year as the Southern Athletic Association announced its 2023 All-Conference teams on Thursday afternoon. Wilson was a force for the Sewanee defense all season long. The junior had 12 starts and played 60 or more minutes 11 times. Wilson tallied a defensive save against Stevenson and is a key component to the Tiger’s defense. She was also named to the First-Team All-SAA list this year.
