DES MOINES, Iowa – The Missouri State women’s soccer team’s season came to a close after Valparaiso battled the Bears to win 1-0 in the semifinal round of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament on Thursday. The Bears (12-2-5, 7-0-3 MVC) held the Beacons to zero goals through the first 90 minutes in a game. Neither team was able to convert in regular time, so the game was forced to go into overtime.
