Women’s Soccer’s Season Comes to A Close In NEC Semifinal

North Andover, MASS.– The Merrimack Warriors Women’s soccer team played to a 1-1 draw through 110 minutes of play but were defeated on penalty kicks by the Wagner Seahawks by a 3-1 score and were eliminated from the Northeast Conference Women’s Soccer Playoffs. Merrimack controlled play in the first half but it was scoreless after 45 minutes played, with their best chance of the foot of Emily McCabe beating the Wagner goaltender but the shot was ultimately denied by the post.
