CSUN suffered a straight sets defeat at the hands of Long Beach State in a Big West match at the Walter Pyramid. Perri Starkey led CSUN with nine kills, but the team struggled offensively. Long Beach dominated with a .311 hitting clip, avenging their earlier loss to CSUN. The Matadors hit just .070 and had difficulty getting their offense going. Despite a strong start in the second set, CSUN fell short in all three sets, losing 25-22, 25-16, 25-18. The Matadors will look to bounce back in their next match against UC San Diego.
