Emporia State Cross Country is set to compete in the NCAA Central Region Championships at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in Joplin, Mo. this Saturday. The men’s race will be a 10K event starting at 11:15 a.m., while the women’s race will be a 6K event starting at 10:00 a.m. The team hopes to qualify for the NCAA National Championships, which will also be held in Joplin on November 18. At the recent MIAA Cross Country Championships, Jamie Diaz finished fourth overall, earning All-MIAA status and marking the best finish by an Emporia State male runner since 1996.
