Lawrence falls to Red Hawks in season finale

APPLETON, Wis. — The Lawrence University volleyball team got off to a slow start Friday and lost 3-0 to Ripon College in a Midwest Conference match at Alexander Gymnasium. The Red Hawks defeated Lawrence 25-9, 26-24, 25-16 in the season finale for the Vikings. Ripon jumped out to a 10-1 lead in the opening set and cruised to a 1-0 lead. In the second set, Lawrence battled back and built a 17-11 lead on a wild play that featured a great dig from Daphne Piotrowski.
