Bluffton University’s football team suffered a 49-27 defeat against conference leaders Mount St. Joseph on Senior Day. Despite an interception by senior Marvus McWright on the Lions’ opening play, Bluffton struggled to keep up with Mount St. Joseph’s offensive prowess. Quarterback Xavier Reyero had an impressive performance for the Beavers, throwing for 326 yards and four touchdowns. However, the Lions’ dominant offensive display, totaling 487 yards of total offense, proved too much for Bluffton to overcome. The Beavers will face rivals Defiance in their final Heartland Conference matchup next week.
