Midwestern State’s cross country team put on an impressive performance at the NCAA Division II South Central Region Championships. Despite missing two of their top competitors, the Mustangs finished 13th out of 26 teams, their best showing since 2018. Freshman Jaycee Lyons led the way for MSU, finishing 68th overall with a personal best time of 22:57.42. Senior Elizabeth Butzke also had a standout performance, taking 75th place. Adams State claimed the team title, with the top three teams earning automatic bids to the NCAA Division II Championship.
