Hobart College’s men’s soccer team pulled off a thrilling victory in the Liberty League semifinals, defeating Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) 4-2 in double overtime. Down twice in the match, Hobart managed to equalize each time before ultimately securing the win. The victory propels Hobart to the conference championship game for the first time since 2019. The team showcased their depth with four different players contributing goals. On the other hand, RPI’s Josh Gaudiano scored both of their goals in a valiant effort. Hobart’s goalkeeper, Guillermo Castañeda, played a crucial role, making eight saves throughout the match.
