The Newberry men’s and women’s cross country teams concluded their season at the NCAA Regional Championships, finishing 17th and 19th out of 29 teams respectively. Three Wolves on the men’s side set new records for the 10k race, with Kevin Kipkosgei finishing in 32:10.70. Alaya Lindquist led the way for the women’s team, running the 6k race in 24:46.10. Head Coach Scott Hutchinson praised the team’s growth and development, noting that they had not competed in the regional championships the previous season. Despite the tough competition, the coaches expressed pride in the team’s effort and performance.
