Stetson University’s football team suffered a 61-41 loss to the Davidson Wildcats despite achieving a season-high 41 points. Stetson’s quarterback Matt O’Connor completed 16 of 31 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns but also had three turnovers. Backup quarterback Brady Meitz entered the game and threw for three touchdowns, bringing Stetson back into contention. Wide receiver Ronnel Johnson had a season-high 105 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Devon Brewer had seven receptions for 79 yards. Stetson will play their final away game next week against Valparaiso.
