Top-seeded Waunakee football team dominated the WIAA Division 2 state quarterfinals with a 49-13 victory over second-seeded New Richmond. Waunakee started strong with a five-play, 62-yard scoring drive within the first two minutes of the game and continued to score on all their first-half possessions. Senior running back Ben Lindley and junior quarterback Vance Johnson were the stars of the game, with Lindley scoring three touchdowns and Johnson throwing three touchdown passes. The win sends Waunakee into the state semifinals, where they will face top-seeded Kaukauna.
