The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) Mountain Lions suffered a 3-0 defeat to the Colorado School of Mines Orediggers in a closely contested volleyball match on Saturday evening. Despite taking an early lead, UCCS was unable to maintain their advantage as the Orediggers went on an impressive run, highlighted by Presley Powell’s four kills and three aces. The Mountain Lions fought back in the second set, but ultimately fell to Mines with a final score of 25-21. UCCS will look to bounce back in their upcoming matches against Colorado State University Pueblo and Adams State University.
