UT Tyler cross country teams put up solid performances at the NCAA South Central Regional Championships in Lubbock. The men’s team finished 15th, just missing out on the top 10 by 66 points. They outperformed seven Lone Star Conference teams. Landon Thornton led the way for the men, finishing 48th overall. On the women’s side, they finished 23rd, coming in just 30 points shy of the top 20. Freshman Kailynn Denney was the standout performer for the women’s team, placing 82nd. Overall, both teams showed promise and improvement in their Division II era.
