Bobcats’ Payne Throws for 439 Yards in Wesleyan Defeat
West Virginia Wesleyan College’s Nathan Payne threw for a season high 439 yards against visiting Fairmont State University but it wasn’t enough to stop a dynamic Falcon running game and the Bobcats remained winless, falling 55-20 Saturday in Buckhannon. Payne’s big total came from 31 completions out of 47 attempts, including two fourth-quarter long balls straight down the middle of the field.
