NAU Soccer suffered a 2-1 defeat against the No. 2 seeded Idaho Vandals in the Big Sky Championship final. Despite their hard work and commitment, the Lumberjacks were unable to overcome the Vandals’ strong performance. Idaho took an early lead with Naomi Alvarez scoring the go-ahead goal, and despite a late surge from NAU, the Vandals’ back line held firm. The game ended with a 16-16 shot count, and both goalkeepers made four saves each. Four Northern Arizona players, Allie Larsen, Joey Lujan, Allison Veloz, and Holly Hunter, were named to the Big Sky all-tournament team.
