The University of Scranton volleyball team split their Sunday matches against Manhattanville and No. 7 NYU. The Royals defeated Manhattanville 3-0 with standout performances from Gianna Detorie, Sophia Hadjiyane, Deanna Whelpley, and Erin Keaveney. However, the Royals couldn’t keep up the momentum and fell 3-1 to NYU despite strong efforts from Whelpley and Keaveney. With a No. 2 seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament secured, Scranton will host the winner of Elizabethtown and Drew in the semifinals on Thursday night.
